Yokai

Yokai are Japanese mythical creatures which all have a distinct purpose or mission after life. I decided illustrating, coloring and animating one yokai per week would be a good exercise in both 2D animation and character design and allowed me to have a set schedule in which I could view my progress in both fields. The result was over 50 mythological creatures, spirits and other entities that helped develop a sense of movement within my illustrations.
